There are a few species of Sumac Trees here in southern Indiana
and each turns a brilliant red in autumn. At the edge of this golden soybean field
along Gloryville Road hundreds of shining Sumacs were growing in clusters.
I’ve always appreciated places like this amid crop fields because
they provide excellent wildlife habitat.
